Some Dates For Your Diary
Good morning!
It’s been a long time since I posted a blog, December and January have gone so quickly! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and is having a good 2010 so far.
Hungate has been super busy, before Christmas there was the lecture from Loyd Grossman, fascinating and perfectly set in the new Hostry building of Norwich Cathedral, wonderful on a chilly December evening, I’ll be sure to post a review it on here. Then we had the children from the Young Archaeologists’ Club come to the church to help decorate it, great fun was had by all… until it came to cleaning everything up!
Anyway, enough about Christmas, what’s coming up in the shiny new year? I’m writing to bring news of the upcoming Tea and Talking Points talks, at which a visiting speaker comes to the church at explores an area of general interest followed by a nice chat and, of course, a cup of tea. Here’s what’s coming up over the next few months.
Wednesday 3rd February - Beating the Parish Boundaries in Georgian Norwich
Wednesday 3rd March - The Rosary Cemetery
Wednesday 7th April – The King Company Archive
All talks start at 2:30, costs £1 for the over 60s which includes refreshments.
The talks are really popular so if you’re worried you won’t get a place, or if you’d just like some extra information, you can contact the centre manager, Dale, by emailing Dale.Copley@hungate.org.uk or calling 01603 623254.
